The Organised People’s Party is a citizen-centred political movement founded to restore order, dignity, competence, and national purpose. OPP exists to liberate citizens, defend their rights and freedoms, and build a prosperous, healthy, wealthy, and first-world Zambia in our lifetime.
The Organised People’s Party was formed to answer a clear national demand: Zambia needs a new political vehicle with discipline, competence, and purpose.
Officially registered in September 2025, OPP exists to reset Zambia’s direction and return power to organised citizens.
Zambia does not lack resources, talent, or potential. What has been missing is serious leadership, constitutional respect, citizen ownership of the economy, and a government that puts Zambia first.
OPP believes national leadership must be entrusted to professional, qualified, high-calibre individuals of good character, honesty, and competence.
OPP believes the Constitution belongs to the Zambian people. Any major constitutional change must be driven by citizens through proper democratic processes.
OPP seeks to transition Zambia’s economy toward majority citizen ownership of the means of production, so Zambians can truly own and benefit from their economy.
Foreign engagement must be guided by Zambia’s national interest. Any entity dealing with Zambia must understand that Zambia must be the primary winner.
Engineer. Public Servant. Executive Leader. Presidential Candidate.
Brian Mushimba’s story is the story of Zambia’s promise. Born in Mufulira and raised in Kankoyo, Brian grew up understanding the dignity of work, the struggles of ordinary families, and the power of education.
From helping his mother trade at the local market to earning a ZCCM scholarship to Mpelembe Secondary School, his journey has been marked by discipline, excellence, and service.
He trained and worked as an engineer in the United States before returning home to contribute to Zambia’s development. In 2016, he was elected Member of Parliament for Kankoyo and later served in Cabinet, where he brought technical discipline and strategic thinking to national governance.
Raised in Kankoyo, shaped by the Copperbelt, and grounded in the realities of ordinary Zambians.
Trained as an engineer and shaped by systems, infrastructure, planning, and practical problem-solving.
Elected Member of Parliament for Kankoyo and appointed to Cabinet.
Served in senior leadership in the electricity industry, contributing to infrastructure development.
Represents OPP’s call for competent leadership, citizen ownership, constitutional restoration, and a first-world Zambia in our lifetime.
OPP’s manifesto is built on the conviction that Zambia must make a clean, fundamental break with past mistakes to realise the country's full potential. The party seeks to build a fair, united, modern, and qualitatively better Zambia based on democracy, human rights, social justice, equity, equality, fair play, and the rule of law.
Committed to participatory democracy, constitutionalism, independence of the judiciary, transparency, and disciplined leadership.
Market-based economy driven by majority citizen ownership. Goal is to build a middle-class society through industrialisation.
Increased investment in education focused on relevant skills for a rapidly growing economy and national productivity.
Improving health status through better access, high-quality services, local drug manufacturing, and stronger infrastructure.
Making agriculture profitable and central to industrial raw materials, employment, and economic diversification.
State-led development to position Zambia as a first-world regional hub for SADC and COMESA trade routes.
A Zambia with no forced outages through an optimal mix of baseload power, renewables, and strategic energy security.
Orderly development of mineral resources to increase employment, supply chains, processing, and broader growth.
Zambians must not become renters in their own country. Transparent land administration supportive of citizen property rights.
Protecting Zambia’s interests, promoting economic independence, and ensuring vital national interests are protected.
Because Zambia does not need more noise. Zambia needs a national reset. This is a home for citizens who believe that the future must be planned, not guessed.
The OPP symbol is a 25kg bag of mealie meal bearing the initials OPP. It reminds us that politics must return to the basic dignity of ordinary people: food on the table, work in the hands, rights protected, and a future that can be built.
A first-world Zambia will not be built by spectators. Join as a member, volunteer, or professional contributor.
